Gerard Butler is looking decidedly ripped in recent photos. Word on the street is that he has gotten buff and blonde for an upcoming surfer flick, Mavericks.
The film gets its name from the popular winter wave surfing destination in Northern California near Pillar Point Harbor just north of Half Moon Bay in the village of Princeton-By-The Sea.
The Scottish actor is currently filming Machine Gun Preacher, where he portrays a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who becomes a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children.
In any case, the body transformation is quite striking. The six-pack abs image was captured in a locker room after a charity soccer match at Celtic Park in Glasgow.
