Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien was injured during the Friday night taping of his evening talk show. O’Brien hit his head while he was attempting to do a stunt. It was quickly determined that the head injury was more than just a bump and he was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of a concussion. See stunt video here.

Because the show was not yet finished, NBC opted instead to air a rerun in its place. Slated to appear on the show were actress Teri Hatcher and actor Seth McFarlane.

The network released a brief statement that they indicate came directly from the 46-year-old comedian’s mouth: “Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice.”

We’ve included video of some of the comedian’s other stunts in a segment called ‘Conan O’Brien Moments’ below.
