Christine O’Donnell sat down last night with CNN host Piers Morgan for a conversation about her new book Troublemaker. It ended badly when the line of questions didn’t sit well with the former Delaware GOP Senate candidate.
Morgan asked her about her views on sexual abstinence and gay marriage. She insisted, “I’m not talking about politics. I’m not running for office. Ask Michele Bachmann what she thinks.”
He laughed and asked, “Why are you being so weird about this.?”
The outspoken O’Donnell, who once claimed to have “dabbled in witchcraft,” ran as a tea party advocate and social conservative. The new book was written with the intention of inspiring the grassroots conservative movement.
When Morgan wouldn’t play nice with O’Donnell, she asked him, “Don’t you think as a host, if I say this is what I want to talk about, that’s what we should address?” His response, “No.”
She took off her microphone while lamenting, “I was supposed to be speaking at the Republican Woman’s Club at 6, and I chose to be a little late for that. Not to endure a rude talk show host, but to talk to you about my book and the issues I address in my book.”
