On Monday Daniel Bedard was arrested for breaking and entering at Celine Dion‘s Montreal mansion. In a bizarre twist, this burglar wasn’t on a diamond dash but was apparently just looking for a little R&R.
The 36 year-old criminal gained entry into the residence after lifting a set of car keys from one of their vehicles.
The wayward interloper tripped an alarm that alerted police to his presence at the luxury mansion. When officers arrived on the scene they discovered that the crook was making himself right at home.
A spokesman for Laval police department said, “He opened the water faucets, was pouring a warmish bath and he even managed to eat some pastry that was in the fridge.”
When the officer entered the home, he observed the perp coming down the big staircase. The first thing out of his mouth, “Hey, guys what are you doing here?”
They arrested Bedard on the spot and charged him with breaking and entering, auto theft and causing property damage. Celine and her husband Rene Angelil were not home at the time of the break in.
