Over the weekend, Jessa Duggar married Ben Seewald in a ceremony attended by 1,000 (!) of the Duggar family’s closest friends and well-wishers.
Jessa and Ben shared their first kiss in private, and apparently not wanting your first kiss ever to happen in front of a television and a thousand friggin’ people was the most rebellious thing a Duggar has ever done.
So how would Michelle and Jim Bob handle it if 20-year-old Jinger sets out on her own as so many want her to?
Jinger is next in line to marry (eldest daughter Jana has apparently been passed over), but she may be the first to throw a monkey wrench in her parents’ plans to build a pleated khakis-clad army of believers.
Jinger has openly discussed her desire to move to New York City (her parents quickly nixed that notion) and has long been considered the rebellious one in the family.
Sure, “rebellious” in the Duggar family means going on a camping trip and leaving the floss at home, but still…Jinger gives us hope that one of these girls can escape the fate of being paired off with some dead-eyed Ned Flanders who was creepily chosen by their dad.
