Over the weekend, young lovebirds Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald got married before a crowd of 1,000 guests in the couple's native Arkansas.
But while Jessa and Ben were more than happy to exchange vows in front of a massive audience, there was one important part of the ceremony that they wished to keep private:
Guests at the ceremony say Michelle and Jim-Bob Duggar were "absolutely stunned" by Jessa and Ben's decision to share their first kiss ever behind closed doors.
"It as a surprise to most of us that the children wished to be alone," says one Christian blogger who attended the wedding. "It was quite funny though."
"I wish you could have seen their faces."
The blogger claims Jim Bob was so upset he rushed over to TLC producers and asked them to edit the footage so that he and his wife wouldn't be embarrassed on TV:
"I heard Jim Bob and one of the producers from TLC talk about editing the footage to make it look like Jim Bob and Michelle were in on it the whole time."
The Duggar courtship rules forbid any sort of physical contact beyond hand holding and "side hugs" prior to marriage, so we knew they had not kissed.
Their choice to do so in private - when Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard shared that moment very publicly - came as a surprise to everyone, however.
Once they make it official, however, the Duggar kids generally move fast.
Jill Duggar got pregnant within 30 days of getting hitched, and we would not be surprised if Jessa, 21, and Ben, 19, announce they are expecting soon as well.
We wish them nothing but the best regardless. Click through the pics above and watch 19 Kids and Counting online to relive Jessa and Ben's road to the altar!
