History will be made on Feb. 23, 2013 with the first ever UFC female fight. Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey, 25, and highly ranked MMA star Liz Carmouche, 28, will be featured as the main event during UFC 157 at Hondo Center in Anahaim.
UFC President Dana White made the announcement Thursday during a press conference.
Rousey, with a 6-0 record, was named the UFC champion female, 135 lb division, upon signing a contract with the organization. Her new belt is up for grabs and Liz will step up to take it away.
Carmouche, 7-2, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and goes by the nickname ‘The Girl-rilla.’
