Michael Clarke Duncan died this morning at the age of 54. The larger-than-life actor was 6’5 and 300 lbs with a smile that could light up the room.

Prior to acting Duncan worked as a ditch digger for a gas company in Chicago. He headed to Hollywood and worked as a bodyguard for Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J and Notorious B.I.G..
The actor had a handful of minor roles before ‘The Green Mile’ brought him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1999. Other box office hits included ‘Armageddon,’ ‘Planet of the Apes,’ and ‘Kung Fu Panda.’ He last appeared on the TV series ‘The Finder’ on Fox network.
