Elisha Cuthbert, 29, and Toronto Maple Leaf hockey player Dion Phaneuf, 27, are engaged.
The Happy Endings actress announced the news September 2 on Twitter, posting, “Happily, happily, happily, happily engaged!”
“This has been the most amazing weekend ever,” she continued.
Cuthbert and Phaneuf, who have been dating since May 2008, celebrated their engagement at New Glasgow Lobster Supper in Prince Edward Island, Canada, with 40 family members and close friends.
“Last night we had the privilege of hosting a surprise engagement party for Dion Phaneuf and Elisha Cuthbert,” the restaurant tweeted September 3. “Congrats to them both.”
