Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson, 19, was photographed leaving Ralph’s grocery store in Sherman Oaks with a bottle of whiskey in a carry out bag on April 18, 2012.

The actor reportedly used a fake ID to score the $170 bottle of Macallan scotch whiskey.

TMZ captured an image of the illegal deed as the kid exited the store and did what any self-respecting website would do under the circumstances … they called Ralph’s to see what they had to say about the situation.

The manager responded, “We strictly enforce all laws relating to the sale of alcohol to minors. We will investigate these allegations and take any steps necessary.”

A few weeks ago Hutcherson said during a video taped interview, “I think the age to go to war is 18…so I think the drinking age should be 18 as well.”

The maximum punishment calls for six months in the slammer but the good news is that jails in L.A. are notoriously overcrowded so the actor has little to worry about on that score. On the other hand, authorities could slap a hefty fine on Ralph’s for selling to a minor.

So far Josh’s camp had remained silent on the subject.
