In yet another big Duggar family announcement on the Today Show, Michelle Duggar revealed that she is pregnant with baby number 20.
The popular family series 19 Kids and Counting on TLC has chronicled the Arkansas family as they live their faith-based lives. They believe that their mission is to serve others and provide encouragement along the way. The kids are all home-schooled. They sing and play a variety of musical instruments during frequent family speaking engagements.
Several of the older siblings are members of the Tontitown Fire Department and EMS crew.
Michelle, 45, nearly lost her life at the end of her last pregnancy. Her youngest child, Josie Brooklyn, was delivered prematurely in mid-December 2009 when Mrs. Duggar developed several serious complications that started with a severe gallbladder attack and then preeclampsia. With her blood pressure soaring dangerously high, doctors delivered her unborn child three and a half months early.
Josie, born at 25 weeks gestation, weighed one pound, six ounces at birth and spent nearly six months in the hospital. She is nearing her second birthday and is now a healthy toddler. The Duggars consider her survival nothing short of a miracle.
The family ranges in age from 23 months to 23 years: Joshua, 23, Jana, 21, John-David, 21, Jill, 20, Jessa, 19, Jinger, 17, Joseph, 16, Josiah, 15, Joy-Anna, 14, Jedidiah, 12, Jeremiah, 12, Jason, 11, James, 10, Justin, 8, Jackson, 7, Johannah, 6, Jennifer, 4, Jordyn-Grace, 2, and Josie, 1. The youngest two sisters will celebrate birthday’s in December.
Josh is married to Anna and they have two children, Mackynzie, 2, and Michael, nearly 5-months.
The family will find out the gender of the new baby in December. The last four children have been girls and before that there were six boys.
