Well that certainly didn’t last long. After 72 days of marriage Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are calling it quits.
According to our friends at TMZ, Kim will not seek an annulment despite the short duration of the nups, but instead will file for divorce.
Adding credence to the revelation was her pal Ryan Seacrest, who tweeted, “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her.”
Kim is citing “irreconcilable differences” and the date of separation is listed as October 31, 2011. The couple has been rumored to be having trouble since the day they wed, and earlier today news surfaced that E! may have played a role in arranging the relationship and marriage. Kim has hired high profile divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her. The legal eagle has previously represented the interests of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Ryan Reynolds and Angelina Jolie.
The couple entered the union with a prenuptial agreement. We wonder who will get custody of the engagement ring. On second thought, maybe it was a fake. Stranger things have happened.
