Rapper Waka Flocka had good intentions last Thursday night when he hosted a Homes for the Holidays charity bowling event in Atlanta, pledging to donate $50 for every strike thrown. What ended up being thrown, unfortunately, were punches.
A fight broke out when an old acquaintance accused the hip-hop artist of owing him money, and then began pummeling him.
A statement from the singers rep said, “To be clear, while taking one of many photos with a fan during the evening, an artist who had previously been under his helm approached him with malice, words were said and our client was forced to defend himself.”
The rep continued, “The aftermath, though dramatic, left no one seriously injured and saw the majority of the crowd dispersed without incident.”
According to TMZ, police were called to the scene but no arrests were made.
Waka’s second album Triple F Life: Friends, Fans and Family will be released before the end of the year.
