Russell Brand was on his way to perform a show at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario on Saturday when his private plane was denied entry to Canada.
The British comic, husband of pop singer Katy Perry, hit Twitter to talk about his latest dilemma, and even shared a photo showing him forlornly standing in front of a North American map.
He tweeted, “HELP! I’m gonna be late for Casino Rama show unless someone can force Canadian customs officials to let us land in Orillia.”
He then asked, “How do you manipulate customs officials? Wasn’t Hitler’s father a customs officer? I’m pretty sure he was. Let me in!”
After all options were exhausted, a defeated Brand tweeted, “Tonight’s Casino Rama show postponed. I’m sorry. I can’t enter Canada. We must abolish the borders between our nations AND our minds.”
The former heroin addict, sex addict and recovering alcoholic has 12 arrest convictions, but has reportedly abstained from drug use since 2002.
Brand was refused entry to Japan in late June.
