Obama calls it “silliness”
President Barack Obama released his long form birth certificate this morning and addressed the subject in a brief news conference.
The White House, clearly worn down by the rhetoric by Donald Trump and other critics, revealed the official certificate of live birth on Wednesday April 27, 2011.
Obama took the podium this morning to speak briefly about the matter. He said: “I know that there is going to be a segment of people for which no matter what we put out, this issue will not be put to rest. We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. We have got big problems to solve.”
The birther crowd, who has long theorized that Obama was born in Kenya, can now disband and go about their business, right? It seems more likely that their new tactic will be to call for analysis of the long form doc to prove its authenticity.
