This writer and radio personality recently got the chance to attend the FOX Fall Press Junket in Hollywood to gear up for the season premieres of some awesome shows, including hits like Glee, House, Bones, The Simpsons, and Fringe. We also previewed some of the new shows that will join the FOX lineup this year: Raising Hope, Lone Star, and Bob’s Burgers.
It was 48 hours of non-stop interviews and TV watching and this girl enjoyed every minute of it. Be prepared for some TV magic! Being put up in a swanky hotel and mingling with the stars is always a fun time. Since you couldn’t come along with me, I figured I would fill you in!
FOX really knows how to throw a party! After all the interviews, we attended the Eco-Casino Party at L.A.’s Boa Restaurant. It was incredible. Following House star Hugh Laurie around in hopes of scoring a photo op turned out to be an exercise in futility. He jokingly told me that pictures were bad for his soul.
It was fun joking around with Jon Voight. My hook line with him was that I was only one degree away from Brad Pitt. He was the nicest guy ever, actually taking the time to chat with me about his grandkids. Yes you heard it here, Angelina Jolie‘s daddy is a class act.
House star Omar Epps was really rude and didn’t want to partake in any interviews and walked away from a photo op. Good actor sure, good guy…not sure about that one.
The voices behind some well known animated characters turned out to be some really cool people. It was crazy meeting Sanaa Lathan, Mike Henry and Kevin Michael Richardson. They are the people who make their characters come alive…and they were pretty funny when they slipped in and out of their voices.
James Wolk stars in the upcoming series Lone Star. He is charismatic, adorable and he could very well be the next big thing.
