Randy Moss shows Bill Belichick some love after Vikings loss
Randy Moss is the latest casualty of the imploding Minnesota Vikings. The wide receiver was abruptly released by the Vikings organization on Monday, just four weeks after being traded by the New England Patriots in exchange for a third-round draft pick.
In the tank with a 2-5 record, coach Brad Childress wasn’t amused when Moss took the podium following the 28-18 loss to his former team.
Moss was fined $25,000 last week for refusing to speak to the media. After last night’s game Randy stepped up and unleashed a strange barrage, including expressions of love for the Patriots, their coach Bill Belichick, the team owners and fans.
He did not return to the Twin Cities with his teammates, which is likely the straw that broke the camels back.
Randy Moss: Bad Boy With a Checkered Past
Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network got some inside information at 2:00 p.m. central and tweeted: “Childress told the team in a meeting they waived Moss as Moss did not go back with the team to Minnesota. Moss was not in the meeting.”
Moss played four games for the Vikes. He caught 13 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns. Yesterday he made one catch.
The Vikes have managed to lose the draft pick, dump a wide receiver… and then there is the matter of the giant white elephant in the room – #4.
The team’s struggling veteran quarterback Brett Favre, already ailing with an ankle injury, was benched after taking a hit that opened up his chin. Eight stitches were needed to close the wound.

Then we have the Favre fiasco…it just never ends!
