Taylor Swift is known for writing music about the men who have broken her heart. When she sat down with Ellen she wasn’t exactly forthcoming about her love life. That didn’t stop DeGeneres, who continued to grill the singer on her past and current love interests.
Taylor refused to admit that her Dear John song was about bad boy John Mayer but did slyly say: “It is what it is.” Ellen ran with that, “Okay, great, we know the answer now. It’s about him. Well, you didn’t dispute it so obviously.”
When pressed about what kind of love song she would pen right now, an obvious attempt to get her to discuss her recent hookup weekend with Jake Gyllenhaal, the songstress replied timidly: I’m always optimistic about love.”
