NBC has announced that Skeet Ulrich will be leaving Law & Order: Los Angeles.
The creative shakeup will allow more airtime for co-stars Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard.
According to executive producer, Dick Wolf, the decision was made to avoid the frustration of having one of “two world class actors” on the bench each week.
Ulrich was one of the first actors cast on the show in July, playing Detective Rex Winters.
Also leaving the show are Megan Boone and Regina Hall, who play an ADA and a DDA. While Boone is leaving the show entirely, Hall may return for a few episodes.
The show is NBC’s highest-rated new drama.
