Actress Jennifer Lawrence has undergone a work related hair transformation from gorgeous blonde to beautiful brunette for her upcoming sci-fi project The Hunger Games.

The first sneak peek was her photo on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, where she was featured as 16-year-old heroine Katniss Everdeen.

Lawrence, 20, made a clear distinction between The Hunger Games and Twilight: “Our movie is a violent futuristic movie where kids are randomly selected from their home districts to fight to the death. But we don’t drink blood, that’s just sick.”

The talented young actress got rave reviews last year for her role in Winter’s Bone. She was nominated for eighteen awards, including a nod for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Last night she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to promote another film, X-Men: First Class. It was her first opportunity to show off the darker tresses.

Let us know what you think … blonde or brunette?
