Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill announced that he and Martha Patterson are engaged after a whirlwind courtship that began in January 2012.
The 25-year-old musician proposed on April 11 in Nashville according to a rep for the couple. They plan to split their time between Tennessee and L.A.
His future bride is signed with Click Models and was sporting her 4-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a diamond-covered band when the couple attended the Coachella Music Festival in L.A. several weeks ago.
Besides Jared the band is comprised of his two brothers Caleb and Nathan and their cousin Matthew. The trio are all married and two of them are in the baby business too.
Followill tweeted, “It’s true! I’m engaged! CANNOT wait to lose my virginity!”
We checked back to see what Martha offered up on her Twitter page on the day she got secretly engaged. She tweeted, “What a beautiful, wonderfully perfect day!”
Prior to finding love with Ms Patterson, JF was dating actress Ashley Greene.
