Kanye West‘s new video for his not-so-new song “Lost in the World” starts with a warning to epileptics that “Strobe effects are used in this video” — a move clearly in response to the backlash from his “All of the Lights” video.
The rapper teams up with fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben for the black and white video which features a haunting intro by Grammy Award winning Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon.
“Lost in the World” is from Kanye’s 2010 album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” which was followed by his collaboration with Jay-Z, “Watch the Throne.”
The video debut came as a surprise, as Kanye recently released the singles “Mercy” and the “I Don’t Like” remix, along with the solo track “Way Too Cold” from his upcoming album, “G.O.O.D. Music.”
