Angie Miller grew up in Beverly, Massachuetts, just outside of Boston.
And the finalist took a few moments during last night’s American Idol performance show to give a shout-out to her beleaguered native region, dedicating a cover of "I’ll Stand By You" to the victims of Monday’s Boston bombing.

"Praying for all of you in Boston right now, and to all the families of those who were injured," Angie Tweeted soon after the attack. "My heart is going out to my home."
