Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his wife have filed legal papers in response to the lawsuit that former housekeeper Maria Jiminez filed against them.

Jimenez claims that Kobe's wife, Vanessa Bryant, was abusive and disrespectful to her, screaming, swearing and even forcing her to put her hand in a bag full of dog feces to retrieve a tag from her blouse that she accidentally chucked.

In Kobe's court documents, he and Vanessa say they paid the maid $50,000 a year, gave her time off, lavished her with gifts, and were totally really nice.

Kobe and his wife say the maid ate meals with them and when she asked for time off to visit her family in Peru, Vanessa gave her paid leave of absence.

The Bryants' response to the lawsuit says Maria Jiminez is making stuff up, that she was fired for a reason, and the claim that her privacy was violated because of home security cameras is dog $h!t since she knew cameras were rolling.

In 2004, soon after Kobe Bryant was accused of sexual assault and admitted to cheating on his wife, he bought Vanessa Bryant an eight-carat diamond ring.

Based on photos of the couple at this year's ESPY Awards, it's clear why: he needed something large enough to match her breasts! (And he had to apologize for the whole infidelity, accusatory rape thing.)

Indeed, Kobe has been nominated for Best Male Athlete and Best Championship Performance at this year's ESPN-sponsored ceremony, but his wife has already sewn up the award for Most Ridiculous, Gigantic Cleavage.

The final straw came when Maria put an expensive blouse of Vanessa's in the washer, apparently by mistake. Vanessa supposedly demanded that Maria put her hand in dog feces to retrieve the price tag for the blouse. Classy.

Kobe and his wife are being sued by their former housekeeper, who claims Vanessa Bryant was repeatedly and incredibly abusive of her.

In the lawsuit filed in Superior Court in Orange County, Maria Jimenez claims Vanessa actually accused her of stealing her (mouth) retainer.

Jimenez says Vanessa "badgered, harassed and humiliated" her "by yelling, screaming and criticizing her in front of Kobe, their children, employees and other people in the house," and she threatened to quit but Kobe talked her out of it.

This time it's Vanessa Bryant, not Kobe, who's in legal hot water.

Maria says she wanted to quit and Vanessa responded that she "had to work until payday to pay for the $690 blouse, which she did." Man, that's just harsh, V.

She is suing for invasion of privacy, emotional distress, unpaid wages and wrongful discharge, which is sorta like what Kobe Bryant was charged with back in '03.

Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal took a shot at his former teammate, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, as he rapped Sunday night.

Yes, you read that correctly.

During the free-style rapping, he accused Bryant of ruining his marriage (!?) before launching into how Kobe Bryant lost the NBA playoffs, etc.

Yes, there was Shaquille O'Neal, blaming his former teammate for ruining his marriage and imploring him to "Tell me how my ass tastes."

After spending several verses shredding Kobe's game, Shaq drops the line, "I'm a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm getting divorced."

There is no love lost between Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.

The line may be referencing a comment Kobe Bryant made during his infamous 2003 rape case, when he told Colorado cops that he "Should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything."

Interestingly, Kobe does not seem to have learned this lesson five years later, with the Vanessa Curry scandal hanging over his head. Jackass.

Anyway. The two became famously bitter rivals after the incident, and Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004. Kobe? No titles since.

Eh. Given that this guy played half a season while standing trial for raping a girl, we're guessing this is pretty small-time for Bryant.

Similarly, the website that claimed the NBA star had an affair with a Laker Girl named Vanessa Curry is refusing to back down under pressure.

Earlier this week, Bryant's lawyer fired off a letter to TheDirty.com, demanding that the post about Kobe and Vanessa Curry be taken down.

TheDirty claimed Kobe had an affair with Curry, 18, who has resigned her position with the Laker Girls - the Lakers' cheerleaders.

Kobe Bryant is known for being a complete dick tough competitor.

And apparently this egomaniac's star's behavior isn't limited to the hardwood.

Britney Spears wasn't the only celebrity at a club opening in Vegas Friday, as the basketballer and his wife, Vanessa, rolled up to the grand opening of BLUSH at the Wynn.

That's when Bryant saw poker player Antonio "the Magician" Esfandiari kick in for two bottles of $1,400 Cristal champagne.

According to sources inside the club, Kobe Bryant wasn't about to shown up - so he ordered five (then promised to take 50 shots every game this season).

Antonio, who's used to upping the ante, then switched his order to 10! Go all in or go home, as they say at the World Series of Poker!

Kobe Bryant ended this asinine display of hubris by purchasing an astounding 15 bottles - which he had no intention of drinking, as he promptly left the club.

Just to put Bryant's "baller" status into perspective - Kobe's $21,000 bill still doesn't cover what Charles Barkley drops on one hand of blackjack.

And just to put Kobe's suckitude into perspective, he may not electrocute pit bulls like Michael Vick, but there's not much positive to say about the Lakers guard, either.
