Tracy Morgan has been placed in intensive care following a series car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike yesterday.
According to NBC Philadelphia, the incident took place around 1 a.m. near Exit 7A at Cranbury, New Jersey.
The 45-year old actor was traveling in a limo bus that was overturned when a tractor trailer hit slow-moving traffic and somehow caused a massive crash.
A total of six vehicles were involved: two tractor trailers, an SUV and two cars.
Morgan is among four individuals taken to the hospital and one person (who was a passenger on Morgan's bus) died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
The former 30 Rock star - who was returning from a performance at Dover Downs Casino in Delaware - is in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center.
Morgan's rep has released the following statement...
"Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware
"His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don’t anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available."
Update: Morgan's ex-wife says the actor is in bad shape, while the driver who caused the crash had been charged with vehicular homicide.
