Richard Ramirez - the convicted killer nicknamed The Night Stalker, who engaged in a murder/rape spree throughout Los Angeles in the 1980s - was found dead in prison today.
The 53-year old murdered at least 13 people by climbing through the windows in their homes, while also attempting to kill five others and sexually assaulting a minimum of 11 victims.
He was found guilty and sentenced to death in 1989 and has been on San Quentin's death row ever since.
Ramirez's cause of death is unknown at this time.
A San Quentin spokesperson said he passed away from natural causes, though a prison official tells TMZ that the convict died from Hepatitis C.
Ramirez was captured (and beaten) in 1985 by Los Angeles residents during an attempt carjacking.
