Kara DioGuardi Officially Exits American Idol
Following weeks of speculation, Kara DioGuardi has officially left American Idol.
Friends say the singer/songwriter expressed frustration with her status last month, as all signs pointed to Fox pushing her aside in favor of Stephen Tyler and/or Jennifer Lopez, but no announcement had been made. Until now.
In a statement, DioGuardi showed gratitude for the two years she spent as a judge.
"I felt like I won the lottery when I joined 'American Idol' two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave 'Idol,'" she said. "I am very proud to have been associated with 'American Idol' - it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!"
Lopez is reportedly near a deal to join the show, while sources confirm Tyler is already signed.

yes she is a ver good jugde on the show hpe you bring her back i cannot look at steven tyler face it is crepy to see on tv and jlo is anoying and bossis whay did you still put here on the show

Really liked the way Kara judged. She was honest and gave the contestant good feedback. Don't think the show will be the same without her and Simon.

Never liked Kara. I will miss Simon. would like to see Snoop Dog as a judge.

I will miss Simon but I too think Kara was a great addition to the show. She had constructive and helpful comments and she was also a very talented writer and had a great voice.

I'll give it a shot and watch. As soon as it seems that the singers are no longer the stars of the show and the panels ego's take over, I change the channel.Now, I realize that Simon had a big ego, but he was dead honest with the performers..

Simon was good but as far as I'm concerned kara was the one who gave the most constructive comments. she was fair and actually helped the contestants. ellen was just a political move to help people get over paula and randy is just a joke. with kara gone I will not be watching again.

will miss simon, no-one can replace him, no-one. not jennifer lopez or stephen typler. there is only one simon. not interested this year in watching it.!!

wont miss anyone but simon. but love randy.!!! wouldnt be the same without randy. but jennifer lopez no way. dont care for her as a sining judge. and stephen tyler nothing good about him. american idol going down.!!!
