We now have a new favorite metaphoric comparison. Whenever an older guy hits on a younger lady, or asks his peers if thinks a girl is hot, we’re going to refer to that act as “classic Chris Matthews.”
As in “Keith Olbermann chatting up Katy Tur was so classic Chris Matthews.” Thanks to the reader who tipped this little “Matthews on the prowl” bit in.
The question posed by Chris Matthews (Do you find Coulter attractive?) is typical Matthews. I have a female friend who knew him in the Peace Corps in Africa and according to her, he helped the African continent during his Peace Corps service appraising the qualities and hitting on the new volunteers.
And here we thought Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the only ones gettin’ it on over there.

What a distorted, pathetic attack on a high caliber OBJECTIVE newsman. I saw that show and if you did too (unlikely) you’d have watched the Coulter-9/11 widows segment go on for over five minutes, staying on the topic. Matthews clearly added that as an afterthought, unplanned as he knows Ann Coulter referrs to herself as attractive. To me she looks like a coke abuser with her gaunt face and stick like frame. besides, isn’t coke a “rich persons” drug? Remember Whitney Houston’s “we don’t do crack, it’s a ghetto drug” quote? She likely feels comfortable with it and it would explain a lot, but I digress. My point is women like you just love to show it off to men and then revel in announcing who “hit on” you. A guy could ask directions and minds like yours are so poisoned over 2am compliments at bars you’re just mean spirited. Don’t you all love announcing who hit on you as badges of honor! Leave Chris Matthews alone. He said she was UNattractive anyway. OR maybe you could start wearing long sleeves and womens pants! There’s a thought!
