The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air this Sunday and looks to be another star-studded night to remember. This reporter got a chance to check out how the show actually comes together.
I attended the ceremonial rolling out of the red carpet, got a chance to interview host Jane Lynch, viewed seating arrangements for the show and even toured the LA Convention Center where the Emmy Governor’s Ball will be held on Sunday.
With camera, Flipcam and audio recorder in hand, I was lucky enough to get some pretty cool behind the scenes shots that I just had to share with you.
I was actually able to taste the food that will be served to the many celebrities in attendance and let me just say the samples were delicious! The first course features Windrose Farm heirloom tomatoes, rosemary, cherry-wood-grilled asparagus and fried golden potatoes.
The second course consists of filet mignon with gratin of macaroni with white Vermont cheddar, rainbow baby carrots, cipollini onion, caramelized broccoli emulsion and oxtail bordalaise.
For dessert the stars will nibble on a milk chocolate brownie, chocolate blackberry cream, blackberry macaroon and chocolate rice crisp with honey sauce. Yummy!
The event hall has been transformed into a scene out of Alice in Wonderland, decorated in black and white with touches of gold to represent the Emmy statue, and illuminated by large iridescent chandeliers .
Host Jane Lynch filled me in on why the Jersey Shore cast would be in attendance. She also shared some words of wisdom on hosting from Sue Sylvester, her character on Glee.
