As expected, the Tennessee Titans have released quarterback Vince Young.
The Titans cut ties with Young, their number 3 pick in the 2006 draft, on Thursday.
Owner Bud Adams announced in January they would trade or release the 28-year-old, and after coming an agreement with former Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck earlier this week, they made good on that promise.
Young has reportedly reached a one-year agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles to back up Michael Vick, and is expected to fly to Philadelphia Friday night to sign the deal.
