Ted Nugent created another memorable soundbite during an on-camera interview that aired Friday with Jeff Glor of CBS.
This was his first public appearance since uttering a thinly veiled Obama threat in April that led to a visit from the Secret Service.
Things started out cordially until the interviewer suggested that Republican Mitt Romney needs moderates in his corner, as opposed to conservatives like Nugent.
Nugent immediately launched into a rambling profanity-laced tirade: “I’m an extremely loving and passionate man, and people who investigate me honestly, without the baggage of political correctness, ascertain the conclusion that I’m a damn nice guy. And if you can find a screening process more powerful than that I’ll !”
Ted didn’t stop there, he proceeded to yell at the off-camera female producer Molly Kordares, “Or I’ll you, how’s that sound?”
After the interview Nugent grudgingly apologized to Kodares after being pressured by his wife to do so.
Ted phoned Glor several hours later to report that he had been rushed to the emergency room to have a kidney stone removed. He even suggest that might be why he went off on the verbal rampage.
