Taylor Swift is waging a battle against a tabloid website that published what they claimed to be a “leaked” topless photo image of the country singer.
The image, according to Page Six, shows a blonde woman laying on a bed, wearing only a pair of strawberry printed underwear.
TMZ was first to report that Swift wasted little time in turning the matter over to her lawyers, who promptly sent a not so friendly legal missive to Celeb Jihad, instructing them to take down the photo immediately or risk a lawsuit. The legalese called for the removal of the “false pornographic images and false news.”
The details that were published with the photo started out by indicating that the woman in the picture “bears a striking resemblance to Taylor Swift.” The post ended with the author indicating that “after careful examination of this photo, I believe that this is in fact Swift.”
In what many consider a foolhardy response, the website in question has failed to heed the warning, opting instead to post another story indicating that Swift is furious and “waging war” against them.
The songstress has been busy with her Speak Now tour, and has been nominated for five CMA awards. The event takes place on November 9, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
