Ross Mathews has signed a talk show pilot development deal with E! Entertainment. This is good news for all of those who loved him as Ross the Intern and have continued to follow his rising career.

Mathews told The Hollywood Reporter, “It really is the time and I feel like I’m ready now. I know how to speak to the audience. I know how to speak to celebrities. And I know my point of view.”

In collaboration with Chelsea Handler’s production company, Borderline Amazing Productions, Ross will develop the new show and become one of E!’s featured talents, a step that he claims will “firm up our relationship.”

He knows how he wants to be perseived, “Oh my gosh, that’s Ross from E!. I know where to tune in to see him.’ ”

He got his start as ‘Ross the Intern’ on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2001. He had a stint on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club and has served as a frequent guest host on The View. He is also a national spokesperson for Jenny Craig.

The funnyman appeared last night on Chelsea Lately. We find his antics nothing short of brilliant and can’t wait for the new show.
