The entire Osmond clan boarded a charter flight earlier this week that took them from Utah to Chicago to make a guest appearance on Oprah. The original intent of the visit was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Osmond Brothers. The show has now become a tribute to the life and memory of family patriarch George Osmond who passed away earlier this week at the age of 90.

The show taping took place on Thursday and will be aired on Friday featuring the 100+ member Osmond family . Marie Osmond indicated it was kind of hectic getting everyone to and from the event but was well worth the effort. She gave credit to Donnie for orchestrating the logistics.

Marie was quite emotional when interviewed before they boarded their return flight. She and Donnie were pleased that they were able to pay tribute to their father in this special way and share the experience with Oprah’s audience. Donnie indicated that a family portrait had been taken during the taping and he felt certain it would be a most cherished photograph for all of them.
