Miley Cyrus is reportedly psyched to begin her international tour at the end of April. She’ll be launching her Gypsy Heart tour in South America and Australia, but don’t expect her to follow that up with an American leg.
The 18-year-old was quite candid about her dwindling fan base in the U.S. She said: “I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don’t know if they want me to tour or not. Right now I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love and Australia and South America have done that for me.”
She continued: “Kind of going to the places where I get the most love. Don’t want to go anywhere where I don’t feel completely comfortable with it.”
Cyrus recently released Every Rose Has Its Thorn as a single in Australia, a tune from her Can’t Be Tamed album. She doesn’t plan to release the single in the U.S. — apparently unwilling to catch a firestorm of unfavorable press if it should have lackluster sales.
It seems obvious that the former Hannah Montana star is in a tough spot now that she has outgrown the tween crowd.
Miley did confirm that her parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish, have reconciled and will be traveling with the teen songstress when she heads out on her international tour.
