Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are officially engaged after a false start a month ago. They celebrated their new status over Christmas weekend in Los Angeles with family and friends.
Rimes, 28, took to her Twitter page on Monday afternoon to ‘tweet’: “For those who haven’t read, Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays. That’s the news. It’s for real this time and the first time EVER!”
Engagement rumors were running rampant in November when the couple posted a photo on Twitter showing Cibrian, 37, down on one knee holding LeAnn’s hand – check out the fake engagement photo here.
Rimes ‘tweeted’ later: “Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love.”
The couple met while filming Northern Lights. Shortly thereafter their marriages ended. Recently Rimes reflected: “We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we’re human. We fell in love.”
