Kristin Cavallari becomes the second celebrity to make good on a promise to attend a Marine Corps ball.

About a month after Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis agreed to attend Marine Corps balls, Lance Cpl. Jonathan Burkett asked the MTV reality star to be his date via Twitter. She accepted.

“It’s a nice way to say thank you for everything done for this country,” Cavallari told 10 News in San Diego. “Seeing faces of the people that are fighting for our county … puts everything into perspective.”

Burkett thanked Cavallari on Twitter, saying, “Thank you for and amazing time! Def had a blast!!! Glad you got to enjoy the Marine Corps ball!”

Burket also thanked Cavallari’s boyfriend, Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler, tweeting, “hey man glad she was able to come! You have an awesome gf and hopefully wife! Keep playing well hopefully Steelers vs Bears!”

Timberlake accompanied Cpl. Kelsey De Santis to her ball last weekend, and Kunis is set to attend a ball in North Carolina this evening.
