Kim Kardashian took a commercial flight from LAX to Minneapolis on Saturday night to have some face time with her throwaway spouse, NBA player Kris Humphries.
The reality star filed for divorce on October 31, and then boarded a charter flight to Australia where she spent a few miserable days fielding unwanted questions while all hell was breaking loose back in the U.S.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians celeb cut the trip short and headed back to L.A. on Thursday where she has been in hiding until being spotted last night walking through the Twin Cities airport with a lone bodyguard.
TMZ is reporting that this should not be construed as a reconciliation. That said, the couple planned to meet for a counseling session on Sunday with Pastor Joel Johnson, the Humphries family minister who performed the legally binding ceremony that was filmed by E! for a two-part wedding special.
When asked for his reaction after Kim filed for divorce, Pastor Johnson told HollywoodLife.com, “I’m sad to hear this. Why would Kim do this? I would love to connect with Kim and try to pull the reigns back and redirect this energy in a more redemptive way.”
Does Kim already regret her hasty divorce action? We can’t help but wonder if her decision to go to Minnesota was motivated more by guilt for the way she dumped her unsuspecting spouse, or if the backlash that has been heaped upon her this week is causing her to rethink this whole “following my heart” business.
