Did Katie Couric spoil a planned announcement by the Fox network regarding their new lineup of ‘American Idol’ judges? It would seem so.
The host of the new ABC afternoon talk show ‘Katie’ interviewed former ‘Idol’ judge Jennifer Lopez on Friday and broached the subject. It remains to be seen if she had insider knowledge or if it was simply a fishing expedition.
Lopez feigned ignorance but did weigh in on the subject after Couric said, “Yeah, I think it’s going to be Mariah Carey, you know, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson. Randy’s back.”
JLo responded, “Thank God. I love Randy.” Then she added uncertainly, “That’s an eclectic group. They’ll all have something different to offer so it should be interesting.”
