The always unpredictable comedian Kathy Griffin shared a little love on the red carpet at the 63rd Annual Emmy Awards Sunday night. E! News host Ryan Seacrest was her victim.
Making her way to Ryan, Kathy asked the talk show host, “Are you still banging the dancer? How did you get her? You’re with Julianne Hough! And you’re…you? What kind of smoke and mirrors games are you playing?”
Ryan made the fatal mistake of commenting on her bright red lips, observing that they look “very, very red.” And then he really stepped into it with — “Have you left a mark on anyone?” That’s all it took.
She leaned in to leave a semi-lasting impression on his face. The more Seacrest tried to dodge the bullet, the farther in she leaned. After all was said and done, Kathy exclaimed, “Oh, gosh, I don’t really want this tape to exist.”
Putting a bow on it, she said, “There, I just sold my soul to the devil.”
