The final episode of Kate Plus 8 will air tonight on TLC and, according to Kate Gosselin, her die-hard fans “are devastated.”
Just how many people still watch the show? Last week there were 1.6 million, which is down nearly 90% from its peak audience. Those former loyalist have since found other forms of amusement.
The last horrific episode featured family and friends partaking in a cross-country road trip. CNN’s Anderson Cooper felt compelled to name Gosselin to his RidicuList for any number of offenses after the show aired.
This morning, the reality show mom sat down with Matt Lauer to talk about her future plans. She stubbornly holds to the theory that her best option for supporting her children in the future is to find another television opportunity.
Never mind that people have shunned the show … savvy Kate knows where the real money is and she is quite certain that we haven’t seen the last of the Gosselin tribe.
The former Kate Plus 8 mom also has an online plan up her sleeve. She revealed to Lauer that she is launching Kateplusmy8.com. She has a Twitter account under that name but the site appears to be under construction last time we checked.
Might we suggest that most people had no problem with the children … it was the overbearing, germaphobic, self-centered diva mama who has driven former followers to the brink of insanity.
The last few episodes have clearly been the most painful to view as she has managed to rant and rail at everything and everyone. Heaven help those kids because it appears quite clear that their mama is indeed a raving lunatic.
