Even though Justin Timberlake has been all about making movies lately, it appears that he may have gotten bitten by the music bug once again.
The singer performed two impromptu concerts this week with FreeSol, a group signed to JT’s Tennman Records label.
Wednesday night they played for an intimate crowd at Timberlake’s Hell’s Kitchen bar-restaurant Southern Hospitality. On hand were actress Amanda Seyfried, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.
The reality star and her New Jersey Nets husband moved into the Gansevoort Hotel’s luxury penthouse suite earlier this week, where they will reside for the duration of the NBA season.
Thursday night’s free gig was for a crowd of 1200 at Irving Plaza, who screamed and cheered as he belted out his hits: Cry Me a River, Like I Love You, What Goes Around and the Rolling Stones cover Miss You.
Timberlake isn’t oblivious to the fact that people want him to come back to music. He jokingly told the crowd, “I’m too old for this sh*t!” adding, “For the record, I’m not trying to become a serious actor you f—ers!”
