Jillian Michaels will be leaving her role as trainer on the NBC hit reality weight loss show The Biggest Loser when her contract expires at the end of Season 11.

The 35-year-old ‘tweeted’: “Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last. Have to finish out my contract. Shooting Losing It… had a big impact on me. Living with kids I saw firsthand what I was missing.”

During the course of the show she has come under-fire on several fronts: a drug investigation on the ranch plus several lawsuits over diet drugs.

The most damaging press for Jillian was a claim of fraud and unsafe practices leveled in an op-ed piece by the L.A. Times.

In the April issue of Women’s Health magazine, Michaels revealed: “I’m going to adopt. I can’t handle doing that to my body.”

Biggest Loser Season 10 finale is December 14 – see the three contestants who will vie for $250,000. Season 11, already well into filming, will air beginning January 4, 2011.
