Heather Mills, soon to be ex-wife of former “Beatle” Paul McCartney has finally gone off the deep end. She blew her cool yesterday on “GMTV”, claiming that the press treats her worse than a murderer or a pedophile.
This morning Mills told Matt Lauer of the Today Show that she has kept her silence until now after eighteen months of holding her tongue. She says the press has called her a whore, a liar, a gold digger and worse. She is receiving death threats and has had thoughts of suicide.
It all started when she married Paul in 2002 according to Mills. There are reportedly 4,000 articles that have dragged her through the mud and seriously affected the revenues of the charities that Mills represents.
Mills cannot speak about the status of the divorce proceedings but alleges that people would be very surprised at what she has been put through.
Mills has decided to go public in an attempt to clear her name. This is surprisingly similar to the interview that Princess Diana granted after her messy divorce, where she dished against the Royals. We all recall her sharing with the world that she was one of three people in her marriage. It worked for Diana – as she once again became the darling of the press and the people of Great Britain and the world. It is too soon to tell if it will work for Mills.
Mills has begged McCartney to come forward and tell the world that he was the cause of their marriage breaking up so that the press will give her back her life. The plea to Paul has thus far fallen on deaf ears.
