Sorry Martha Stewart but I have to admit that I was not aware that you had a show on the Hallmark Channel. Obviously I wasn’t the only one because The Martha Stewart Show has been canceled.

Before you begin to feel sorry for Martha, she’ll be just fine. The domestic diva has a net worth of $638 million, most of which is in shares of her publicly traded company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She oversees an empire that includes TV, a magazine, books, housewares and a Sirius Satellite Radio channel.

She was once a billionaire but a five-month jail stint for insider trading brought the price of her stock plummeting.

The 70-year-old home and hearth maven previously demonstrated her talents in syndication before being picked up by the Hallmark network in September 2010.

The costs of producing the daily live series proved to be too much for such a small audience. With only 200,000 viewers, the plug was pulled.

Stewart isn’t throwing in the towel. Her company and Hallmark are currently discussing potential future concepts for daytime television.

If you’re one of her faithful viewers you can still catch new shows until May and re-runs throughout the summer.
