Pitbull sat down this afternoon for an exclusive chat with Danni Starr to discuss his hit single Give Me Everything and the lawsuit filed by Lindsay Lohan.

The actress took exception to a line in the Miami rapper’s song that she considered disparaging to her name, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

He claims it wasn’t meant to be taken negatively. “When I mention Lindsay Lohan in the record it’s really a positive message. When I say I got it locked up, if you play at the park, if you from the neighborhood, when they say you got it locked up, that means you run that area.”

He was actually surprised about the lawsuit, thinking at first that it was a joke. He is emphatic that he didn’t mean to hurt her career, and to show his sincerity, has taped a video apology, extending an invitation to Lohan to appear with him on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards where he’ll be performing the tune with Ne-Yo.

Lilo is reportedly not interested in making nice with Pitbull, but he’s still holding out hope that she will change her mind and be his guest on Sunday night at the Nokia Theatre.
