Dancing with the Stars featured a star-studded Motown song fest last night during week six of competition.
Crooning live while the eight celebrity contestants and their pro partners danced were The Temptations, Martha Reed and the Vandellas, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.
The leaderboard standings reveal the results of the main competition plus the marathon dance-off that added bonus points to each couple’s score for the evening:
Based on composite scores Katherine Jenkins is firmly lodged at the top of the pack with 39 points, followed closely by Jaleel White, 37, and William Levy 36.
It was a comeback for White who has been wallowing near the bottom in recent weeks. Levy’s steamy dance moves stirred up the crowd but put a frown on Len Goodman’s mug. He characterized the performance as “raunchy.”
Looking very vulnerable at the bottom of the leaderboard is Gladys Knight with a combined score of 24. Her goal was to make it to Motown Night and it was mission accomplished on that score. Will she be eliminated tonight? It seems likely.
