Cuban singer William Levy injured his right ankle during a rehearsal on Sunday and may not be able to perform his routine tonight on Dancing with the Stars.

The sexy actor and former model tweeted last night, “Just wanted to let you know that I injured my right ankle pretty bad during rehearsal…MRI tomorrow. I’ll let you all know … Love you all.”

He and his pro partner Cheryl Burke have been near the top of the leaderboard consistently during the first three weeks of competition. Their worst showing came last week when the judges awarded them a disappointing 22 for their lackluster jive.

This week they are slated to perform 6th in the lineup. They’ve been perfecting an Argentine tango that the Latin performer should be able to nail if he can get past the bad ankle.

Veteran dancer Burke hit Twitter to wish him well, “Hoping that everything turns out ok with William’s ankle injury. Unfortunately things like this happen but praying it’s nothing…”
