A new TLC Sunday night series featuring the popular 19 Kids and Counting reality family kicked off last night. The Duggar Family Tour will detail their travels to Scotland, Ireland, London and Israel.
Accompanying Jim Bob Duggar and his wife Michelle Duggar on their 20-day summer adventure were their 19 children, his mother Mary Duggar, niece Amy Duggar-Jordyn, daughter-in-law Anna Keller Duggar, and her children with eldest son Josh Duggar, Mackynzie 2, and Michael, 5 months.
Michelle was feeling the start of morning sickness throughout the trip, having recently learned that she was expecting her 20th child.
The family flew from Arkansas to Scotland with a plane change in Newark, NJ. After a three hour nap the entire gang walked the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. With four kids in strollers, Josie, Jordyn, Jennifer and Mackynzie, they ambled along amid street performers who swallowed fire and swords.
On day two they hit the Highland Games, where Jim Bob was coerced into putting on a Scottish kilt.
Next on the agenda was a ferry crossing to Ireland, which made the normally queasy family motion sickness. Once back on terra firma, they visited a working farm where they got a lesson in making Irish soda bread.
Out in the paddocks, Amy and Joseph had a pig riding competition, and Jim Bob Duggar enjoyed a few squirts of milk that came right from the cow. He remarked, “It’s the freshest milk I’ve ever had.”
Next Sunday night the adventure will continue with the Duggar family enjoying the sights of London, including the city’s giant ferris wheel –The London Eye, Stonehenge, high tea and more.
