You think Tom Cruise‘s ‘surprise’ appearance at Will Smith‘s Walk of Fame induction last week was just a friendly gesture? And his follow-up visit to New York for the premier of Smith’s “I Am Legend” movie premier? Well, think again.
There is speculation that Cruise is trying to woo Smith, as well as his other Hollywood ‘friends’, into the ways of Scientology (which seems to me is recruiting celebrities with deep pockets in helping them further their ’cause.’)
There may be a hidden agenda in Cruise’s ‘friendly’ gestures and this is not the first time he has used them in his Scientology recruiting efforts.
In Will Smith’s case, it looks like Cruise has already been successful in convincing the “I Am Legend” actor to shell out some green to Scientology.
After Smith’s wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, worked with Cruise on the film “Collateral,” the couple donated $20,000 to Scientology’s literacy campaign, HELP (Hollywood Education and Literacy Program), which helps fund Scientology’s home-schooling system.
It appears that Cruise has also been successful in brainwashing winning over Smith, who was raised Baptist, and attended Catholic school, that Scientology and Christianity are basically the same.
In a recent interview, Smith said:
“I was introduced it by Tom and I’m a student of world religion. I was raised in a Baptist household, I went to a Catholic school, but the ideas of the Bible are 98 percent the same ideas of Scientology, 98 percent the same ideas of Hinduism and Buddhism.”
Yeah, except for some very minor differences, like that whole Jesus Christ thing and the whole space alien thing. I can totally see how they are basically the same.
Kudos Tom! Scientology has obviously chosen well. You are very good at what you do for them.
